I was a little nervous about unhooking my Onkyo HT s5300 home theater system and packing it all up to take over to my friend’s apartment. He invited me over and wanted me to bring my surround sound system with me so that he could compare how it sounds to some of the other audio equipment he already has. He’s one of those people who doesn’t believe you can get anything of value you if spend less than $1000 on it. For example, his two front speakers cost him $2000 a piece. He also has an amplifier that cost about $1500 and a subwoofer that cost about $1100. I can’t imagine that my system will sound at all close to his, in terms of overall sound quality. But for the money I paid, I think he will have to be impressed. I just don’t want to damage anything while I’m moving it from my living room to his apartment and then back again.
